While at QUT for the LMS Implementation, I had the opportunity to become involved in a series of inter-university project teams working on grants funded by the national institute for higher education learning. The name change from the Carrick Insitute to the Australian Learning and Teaching Council occurred after an election and change of government. There were three national projects on curriculum:
The WIL [Work Integrated Learning] report: A national scoping study,
Embedding the development of intercultural competence in Business education, and
Facilitating staff and student engagement with graduate attribute development, assessment and standards in Business faculties
My contributions were based on my technology and research skills base, but the opportunities for me to expand my understanding of curricula, and to collaborate with excellent colleagues from across a half-dozen different institutions were enlightening as those colleagues became my role models.
