Aloha Kakou Palamanui!
Linda, Sam and I are finally back down to one household in Waikiki along with Mom. I have since been able to study full-time and complete my MA in English and Creative Writing and, after that an MFA in Creative Nonfiction.
I took advantage of the family and personal imperatives, which led to stepping down as Director of Palamanui with an aim to re-calibrate professionally and return to teaching full-time. I also seized the opportunity to complete those relevant degrees and restart my creative writing career after so many years, in addition to teaching writing online and locally for a major institution. My thesis for my MFA, which is now being proposed for publication as a book was I AM HOME: Wayfinding by Dead Reckoning in a GPS World.
